Volume of raw hydrogen consumption is three times volume produced. "Dirty" hydrogen sources (like water or mixed with other gases) requires six-times the volume to produce.

Description/Overview:
                The Phase II Titan class was identical to the original production model save for the pair of Orion Galactic OG-TYPE-2193-500K-ALPHA engine pod units and the large planetary assualt and cargo pod. These SLV drives did increase the space-time dilation of the ship considerably, enough to warrant the upgrade. However, the design overall was beginning to show its flaws. As a central mobile command center it was useful, as a planetary and space station bombardment platform it was useful, in ship-to-ship combat, not so much. Centralization of all three bridges in one section of the vessel was a major flaw. The use of the two older bridge module components as secondary bridges was a also considered in need of upgrade. The destruction of Admiral Alexia Rogers Brown's Titan class ship--the Eurynome--during the Ross 47 conflict brought a major flaw in the Titan class to light. That being the proximity of the I-Field generators to the Electron-Element Force Field generators. During the battle where the Eurynome was destroyed, both sets of generators were activated in a layered, shield-shell technique that was supposed to prevent enemy heavy beam weapon fire from hitting the vessel. It didn't. As with most of the electron-element based systems and weapons of the Varna-based technology used by the Neo-Hebrews, there was always the chance of interference between systems. This interference was not always chronic, some of it could be accute and only manifest during specific situations. Such was the case with the Eurynome during the battle that destroyed her. The analysis of the battle indicated that the "pressure" of the Prodono Imperial Newel-Xergis class warship's Electromagnetic Particle Beam Cannon on the Electron-Element Force Field forcing its particles to overlap with the I-Field generators's energy dampening field. This allowed the Prodono Imperial Newel-Xergis class ship's EPBC to "bore" through both shields into the side of the Eurynome, cutting the ship in half and destroying it. Naturally, this design flaw was not known of when the original Titan class was put into production in 2181. Only Prodono Republic type ships had been encountered at that time, not the more advanced Imperial type ships. The Imperial Newel-Xergis class ships use a variable-frequency EPBC that allows for both a tight beam, and a wide-angle beam setting for the weapon. This variance in frequency it what accounted for the "pressure" of the beam on the Electron-Element Force Field. The solution to this issue was to separate the generators. However, at the time of the Phase II project in 2193, the shipwright engineers had not figured out the best positions to mount the generators, and whether the I-Field generators should be moved or the Electron-Element Force Field generators.
