Description/Overview:
                The Eiden class was an upgrade of the ailing Furious class of battlecarrier. It was the last of the 1st generation of battlecarriers still in service with the Orion forces. Originally commissioned as the Warspite class of battlecarrier during the 1st Interplanetary War in 2174, the Eiden class was the fourth incarnation of this family of warships making the design nineteen years old. The only significant difference between the Furious class and the Eiden class were the faster than light drives. These new drives--a pair of Prodono Technologies D'Rhell-Feul DF-2193-1500 (1st Generation) Super Luminal Velocity Drives--were built using the Prodono Goro Dei factory at Chi Orionis and were an improved version of the Prodono Alliance type SLV drives used by Central Control's Prodono Android forces. These new SLV drives had a considerably faster space-time dilation of the Stellar Warp Drives of the Furious class. This gave the Eiden a comparible space-time dilation warp speed to that of the Prodono Alliance type warships.
