Description/Overview:
           The Epsilon Eridani class of Main Space Dreadnought was built entirely by the Tartarian Technocracy. These ships were intended to replace the Revenge class of main space battleship after the Tartarian Technocracy leader, Sovereign Grand Inspector General Khazar Rothschild, learned of Doctor Donaldson's Cosmo Dragoons gaining control of a massive Prodono base, and restoring its fleet. The Epsilon Eridani class replaced the Defiant class as the main Capital ship of the Offense Space Navy forces that were being built to take on the Neo-Hebrews of Orion, Prodono Androids, and Union of Sovereign Solar Republics. However, in 2193 the Planetary Alliance was removed from their equation due to events that pushed the PA toward an alliance with the Tartarian Technocracy. Most of the weaponry of the Epsilon Eridani were standard for its time, but the maw gun of the ship was a Terran built wide-angle beam weapon that was twice as powerful as the one mounted on the Deviant class. The main reason for the increase in beam weapon size was to widen the angle of the beam in order to improve its ability to destroy incoming enemy mecha, or missiles. The second useage was to deplete the defensive shields of enemy craft in order to weaken them enough for other weaponry to penetrate more easily. The wide-angle beams did have a major drawback, that being that the damage inflicted was considerably less due to the thinning out of the particles of the beam and it spread out. A restrictor was added to the maw gun in 2192 that allowed the weapon to be recalibrated to fire a tight beam (like a normal EMPAC beam gun) at a single target. However, the recalibration required a few minutes to do, and during combat that was a crutial deficiency.
