Description/Overview:
   The Champion class command battleship was essentially the same as the Defiant class in terms of capability save for the extra wide-angle EMPAC maw gun. This craft was more an expression of the rigid social structure of the Tartarian Technocracy, which was based heavily on Scottish Right Freemasonry, than a practical warship design. It really offered nothing that the Defiant class couldn't provide save for the second ballistic beam cannon. Not many of these ships were built, usually there was one Champion class built for every four Defiant class battleships. Surprisingly, these ships did fulfill their role as command ship of battlegroups very well.
