Description/Overview:
              A part of VonStalin's plan to make an invincible space navy, the Glorious class of Dreadnought was the first Mark V Ironclad based on the Kiev class space battleship of the defunct UN Solar Empire. However, the Glorious was not the last ship that VonStalin envisioned for his new space navy. In fact it was only the start. As Supreme Commander of the Pluto Republic space forces, Edric VonStalin wanted his fleet to be totally independent of the Neo-Hebrews of Saturn warship designs. He demanded that all of the systems used by his fleet were build by his nation and not imported from any other. Thus, like the Glorious class, the Victorious class of Battle Destroyer was built entirely by the Pluto Republic and subsequent Alpha Centauri Protectorate of the USSR. The Victorious class represented a new family of space warship inspired by the Union of Solar Republics omni-hull warships. VonStalin created a new category of warship in order to meet this requirement: the Battle Destroyer. The idea was for these omni-hull style ships to go toe-to-toe with the large warships of the Ceres Regency and Union of Solar Republics. Originally conceived of in AD 2183 during the Ceres Conflict for use in the campaigns that VonStalin was planning against the Union of Solar Republics and the Ceres Regency, the Victorious and subsequent designs were designed to be pure warships, with the ability to fight on their own without a sizeable escort. The Victorious class and her sister omni-hull ships served admirably during the Outer Sphere War, however, they were refit in 2193 to accept the new Super Luminal Velocity drive system developed by the USSR. This class served with distinction throughout its life time.
