Description/Overview:
The Slava II class was the logical step forward from the original Slava class. The Slava itself being the last viable refit of the Rivadavia family of spacecraft. The original Slava was a one million ton spacecraft capable of holding forty variable hover tanks, one hundred PSF-35J Protean Space Fighters, eighty SF-03A space fighter-bombers, and six AS-02B shuttle bombers. While this was adequate for the Ceres Conflict, it became taxing during the Outer Sphere War. The low time-dilation of the Slava also became a liability. It was only capable of 0.18 light-years per hour. While that was fine within ten light-years of Sol, it was not adequate outside of that range. Thus, VonStalin ordered his shipwrights to create a new carrier that would also conform to the Omni-hull ships of his new navy. The Slava II was what they came up with. This new ship was based on the Victorious class of Battle Destroyer. It was ten times faster in terms of warp speed than that of the Slava, and it carried over twice as many mobile weapons. VonStalin was very pleased with this class and quickly approved the design in preparation for the escalating situtaion in the Ross 47 star system.
