Description/Overview:
Very little is known about the history of the Varna space navy forces or armed forces in general. Only scant information had been scryed out of the wrecks around Saturn by the Neo-Hebrews during the 2180s. So when the Varna derelicts were found around the second moon of the fourth planet of the Chi Orionis system in 2192, the Neo-Hebrews--now the Orion Theocratic Repbulic--went into action to secure those spacecraft by any means possible. That means turned out to be the Prodono Android forces already in the Chi Orionis system that had taken control of the Goro Dei Prodono shipyard that was soft-landed on the 2nd moon of the 4th planet as a mining base some time in the distant past. The Goro Dei also appeared to have been used by space pirates in the past as well, and so many of the Prodono and Varna ships around the moon were in various states of repair. It also meant that files for repairing Varna ships were present in the databanks of the Goro Dei.
The most numerous of these Varna vessels were the Gah'Monai 101st Generation Frigate class. Over one thousand of these spacecraft were in orbit within the debris field around the moon, however, only one hundred and twenty of them could be repaired and restored to full operational status. Many of them still required minor servicing after their repair, but all one hundred and twenty were considered battle worthy. The remaining number--over 700 ships--were collected and shipped off to Orion for study to unlock the secrets of the Varna technologies. The Gah'Monai was an impressive battlefrigate meant to go toe-to-toe with the corvettes and frigates of the Kamphlarian Consortium of the 1.03168 Galactic Standard (398,000 BC) to 1.11168 Galactic Standard (390,000 BC) time frame. However, like all ships used in the Space Navies of all the major galactic powers, no spacecraft ever really went out of service due to the massive size of the galaxy. In many cases, spacecraft would serve for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years via servicing, upgrades, repairs, and refits to keep ships running, and up-to-date for the various missions they would serve.
