Description/Overview:
          The SBB-01 space battleship was superb for the last few years of the 1st Interplanetary War in terms of firepower, faster than light speed and shielding. During the Ceres Conflict the ship was adequate in the limited skirmishes the class found itself in. The Outer Sphere War however exposed the shortcomings of the SBB-01 class of space battleship and showed the need for upragde. Hence in 2188 the SBB-02 space battleship's upgrade was expedited in order to get the capital ships up to speed with the needs of the post-Outer Sphere War era. Like all of the vessels in he 2188 upgrade program, the ships were refit quickly, thus only the essentially systems were changed. In the case of the SBB-01, her old PHELAC turrets were changed to MESON cannons in order to defeat Prodono energy resistant armor. The short range space torpedoes were changed out with long range nuclear tipped types, and the deflector shields were changed to more advanced types. The single Stellar Warp Drive engine was replaced by a quartet of SWDs that were standard on the Omni-Hull ships, this increased the time dilation of the vessel considerably, bringing it up to 2188 standards.
