Description/Overview:
            At the conclusion of the Outer Sphere War, Khazar's Tartarian Technocracy space navy realized that their stealth space navy could not be effective if they had to rely on the existing arsenal of Protean mecha. The design team and combat analysts realized that the use of non-stealth mobile weapons would expose the location of any of the Tartarian Technocracy's stealth fleet. Khazar had informed them of his intent to use the stealth fleet against Donaldson's Cosmo Dragoons and so approved of their assessments. Therefore, in late 2187, Khazar authorized the design and production of a stealth fighter that could meet the needs of the stealth fleet. After nearly a year of development and testing the PI-H229 Night Raven was put into production. The new Protean mecha was an interceptor, as the designers determined that a traditional fighter would not meet the needs of the Blitzkrieg missions the stealth fleet was being commissioned to perform. While the new Night Raven used many components from earlier Protean mecha, it did have all new weapon pods customized for stealth. The new fighter's stealth was through traditional stealth (RADAR, and electromagnetic absorbing) armor-materials. The fighter lacked a Light Bending Shield, but was completely invisible to all forms of RADAR, LADAR, and EMS sensors. Neutrino Aquisition Detection And Ranging sensors could detect them if the fighter got within ten miles, but by that time, the Night Raven would be able to unleash its entire arsenal of weaponry. Only visual confirmation, video sensors, and point-of-sight laser targeting systems worked to detect the Night Raven. This made the PI-H229 one of the most formidible fighters of the 2nd Interplanetary War and the basis for future special operations Protean mecha.
