PROPULSION:
            PRIMARY (Main Engine):
             1x Bohing/Lockheed ID-2000 high yield ion engine
             SPEED: 38,000 mph

             SECONDARY (Main Engines)
             3x Rocketdyne FT-100 fusion thrusters
SPEED: 3800 mph each (11,400 mph total)

WEAPONS:
             PRIMARY (OFFENSIVE):
2x Bofors AC-105-03 105-millimeter auto-cannon turrets; Effective Range: 6 miles; Payload: 3000 rounds in an auto-loading mechanical feed; ROF: fires bursts of three rounds per two seconds with a cyclic rate of 90 rounds per minute.

             SECONDARY (OFFENSIVE):
2x Bohing/MMI STL-02 space torpedo tubes; Missile Type: MHST-01 2000-pound SMART-guided space torpedo with 38.2-Kiloton yield nuclear warhead; Effective Range: 27 miles; Payload: 10 space torpedoes each in an auto-loading torpedo tube; ROF: 1 torpedo per two seconds with a cyclic rate of 30 torpedoes per minute.

ELECTRONICS:
1x Laser Communications array with a 10 AU range.
1x Passive EMS sensor array with a range of 500,000 miles.
1x Active EMS sensor array with a range of 1000 miles.
1x Gravitational Control/Antigravity unit Effect: provides artificial lift,g-force compensation and enhanced maneuverability.

DEFENSE SYSTEMS:
6x MMI ND-400 400-megawatt nuclear dampener generators; RANGE: 40 miles; Effect: Random due to numerous variables. In general, the nuclear dampeners provided moderate to considerable resistance to energy weapons and was able to cause missile warheads to either explode or go inert within its area of effect.

HANGAR BAYS:
1x 6816.4-yd3 mecha hangar that normally holds forty 30-ton mecha (usually battle robots like the MBR-01 or SBR-01 series), but can accommodate machines up to 50 tons if need be. The hangar also holds an additional 2016.4 yd3 of excess space for spare weapons, parts, and other support equipment when the standard load of forty 30-ton mecha is on board.

Description/Overview:
         (ALL MODELS)
The Ogre class of military transport ships were originally built by the United States Space Navy in 2164 AD for their initial attack on Earth’s moon. These craft were very successful as planetary assault transports and were quite agile in both space and in an atmosphere. The mission of the Ogre series did not change much with the introduction of the EFSM model (Mark II). The Ogre class of ship was NOT very capable in ship-to-ship combat, as they were not designed for that kind of mission. These ships, therefore, always required some form of escort (initially Kentucky class ships, followed by successive improvements of that design.). A total of 9430 of these craft were built between 2164 and 2220 AD.
The first model of Ogre class was built out of need for a multipurpose vessel. Initially, the United States Space Navy intended to use the Ogre class of ships as a cruiser capable of transporting exosuits, and tanks as well as engage in ship-to-ship combat with the UNSC forces of the time (2164 to 2170). However, the Ogre class was overshadowed by the Earth Federal Republic space fleet when the USSN was united with the EFR in 2168 AD. The Ogre Mark I ships were assigned to military transport duties only. The main mission of the Ogre MK1 during the 1st Interplanetary War was to drop off MBR-01 and SBR-01 mecha during assaults on the various planets, moons, and asteroids controlled by the UNSC. Its secondary mission was as a supply ship, carrying food, weapons, and cargo from one EFR base to another. By the end of the Battle of Pallas in 2172 AD, the MK1 was being used as a transport full-time. The MK1 fleet of 376 ships (all that survived the Battle of Pallas) was upgraded to MK2s in 2173 AD.
