             SPEED: 38,000 mph

             AUXILLIARY:
             4x Lokheyd ID-10 ion drives
             SPEED: 7600 mph each

WEAPONS:

             PRIMARY (OFFENSIVE):
3x Norking RFL-10 rapid-fire 10-megawatt laser cannons; Effective Range: 100miles; Payload: unlimited with RFR-200M fusion reactor; ROF: up to 10 blasts per ten seconds with a cyclic rate of 60 blasts per minute.

             SECONDARY (OFFENSIVE):
2x Bohing STL-01; Missile Type: MHST-01 2000-pound SMART-guided space torpedo with 38.2-Kiloton yield nuclear warhead; Effective Range: 27 miles; Payload: 4 space torpedoes each; ROF: 1, 2, 3, or up to all 4 torpedoes at once each launcher.

ELECTRONICS:
1x Microwave radio Communications array with a 4000-mile range.
1x Passive EMS Sensor array with a range of 5000 miles.

DEFENSIVE SYSTEMS:
6x Norking NND-10 nuclear dampeners; Range: up to 1 mile from hull; Power Requirement: 10 megawatts each, EFFECT: Random due to numerous variables. In general, the nuclear dampeners provided moderate to considerable resistance to energy weapons and were able to cause missile warheads to either explode or go inert within its area of effect.

Description/Overview:
The original Kentucky class assault shuttle had proven itself as a robust and adequate weapons platform by the USSN during the Great War era, and by LaGrange as a patrol ship for their colony space-islands within the Earth-Luna sphere.  However, the UNSC and subsequent Solar Empire warships of the late 2150s and early 2160s exposed the weaknesses of the original design.  Therefore, in 2168, the Earth Federal Republic (using Prodono-based technology) modified the original Kentucky into the Mark-IA.
The Mark-IA was used during the initial years of the 1st Interplanetary War as the primary corvette/picket of the Earth Federal Space Marines and Space Navy forces.  The new ship incorporated nuclear dampeners, an improved nuclear reactor (fusion instead of fission), and better armor plating as well as a triple bank of laser cannons in place of the old 105mm autocannons.
