Description/Overview:
         The Nymar (Prodono for mouse) was the basic infantry combat unit of the Prodono forces and was actually based on a rodent that was common on spacecraft and battlefactories of the space faring civilizations of the galaxy.  This infernal pest could overrun a small space station in a matter of months if not kept in check through vigilant extermination procedures.  This tiny beast of unknown origin was roughly the same shape as the Earth Kangaroo Mouse, except that it was larger (about the size of a normal rat).  The Type-20016 Nymar was first introduced on Galactic Standard date 2.0016 (299,849 BC Earth Relative) and was a replacement for the much older Type-1.8794 Nymar that preceded it by 12,211 years (Earth Relative) and was of a slightly lower technology level.  When the first model of Nymar was built is not known, but what is known is that the major galactic powers that preceded the rise of the Prodono used a machine very similar to the Nymar and based it off the same species of vermin space mouse.
         The main power source of the Nymar Type-2.0016 was the Obuch-Ron Type-20004 fusion reactor originally introduced in 2.0004 GS (299,960 BC) as an upgrade fusion reactor for the Type-1.8794 Nymar.  The Obuch-Ron Type-20004 produced 400 megawatts of power, which was more than enough for the Type-2.0016 Nymar.
         The Type-2.0016 used one Moi-Kai MK-266 walker engine as its primary land-based propulsion system.  This walker engine was an upgrade from the older Moi-Kai walker engine used on the Type-1.8794 Nymar.  It had a higher maximum running speed and consumed less internal volume than the older model.
         The Type-2.0016 was also intended for use in space, particularly on planets and planetoids with no atmosphere and light gravity.  For space operations, the Type-2.0016 Nymar needed considerable speed and thus a pair of Gruel Khan GK-06 fusion thrusters was fitted to the machine.  Each of these engines could propel the combat walker at speeds of up to 228,000 mph with a combined speed of 456,000 mph.  While this speed was very impressive in space, the Nymar was not aerodynamic enough to reach speeds beyond 7600 mph in an Earth-like atmosphere due to friction, and thus the vehicle could not achieve orbit on its own.  The Nymar also used a combination of vernier control thrusters and its gravitational control unit for maneuvering in space.  This made the vehicle very maneuverable in a vacuum environment.
         The Nymar Type-2.0016 had a very basic armament package consisting of two types of weapons: a pair of   Neb-Url-Ta Type-NUT-20048 10-megawatt particle accelerator cannons and a pair of Xergin-Tah Type-XT-20032 10-megawatt ion blaster cannons.  The Type-NUT-20048 PACs were used for close- to medium-range assault while the blasters were normally used for medium- to long-range attacks.  Both beam weapon types were moderately powerful but very accurate.  Doctor Xiang speculated that the use of Nymars in combat against other Nymar-type machines must have been very tedious for the pilots considering the energy-resistant armor of these mecha greatly reduced the effectiveness of their energy weapons to the point where battles may have taken hours, or even days, to complete.
         The Type-2.0016 Nymar did not use a Neural Link System computer and was little more than a simple battle robot very similar in concept to the EFR MBR-01 or other mass production basic infantry unit.  Doctor Xiang was not able to determine any exact numbers of Type-2.0016 Nymar battle robots from the Prodono records.  All he could garner was the production numbers from the battlefactory at Alpha Centauri, which were a total of 5.5 million units.  What became of these units is unknown, nor is it known how long the Type-2.0016 remained in production and/or service, as Xiang determined that Nymar combat walkers (which he dubbed AGARs) remained in service until they either broke down completely (and were rendered useless) or were destroyed in combat.

Description/Overview:
         According to Doctor Xiang’s notes, the Jould (pronounced Joo-uhld) class of mecha was built as a defense walker for Prodono battlefactories, planetary installations, and planetoid/moon bases.  This machine also doubled as an artillery and heavy assault AGAR when used during planetary combat operations.  The Jould Type-20021 was a replacement for the Prodono Stellar Republic-built Jould Type-10001 built in the year 1.0001 Galactic Standard (399,990 BC) right at the start of the Varna era.  The newer Jould Type-20021 did away with the missile pod arms of the older Type-10001, added fusion thrusters in place of the ion engines, and used more advanced energy-resistant armor plating.  The Jould type was also used as a heavy support unit for Prodono space navy forces and more often than not used in conjunction with its smaller cousin, the Nymar.
         The Jould was a direct offshoot of the Nymar design and used many of the same systems as the Nymar main battlerobot.  The Jould Type-20021 used the same Obuch-Ron Type-20004 400-megawatt fusion reactor as the Nymar Type-20016 did.  This versatile fusion power plant had a 6.25-year fuel supply on the Jould Type-20021, which gave the machine more endurance than its predecessor and its smaller companion.
         The weapon systems of the Jould Type-20021 consisted of both the standard Nymar Neb-Url-Ta Type-NUT-20048 10-megawatt particle accelerator cannons and the Xergin-Tah Type-XT-20032 10-megawatt ion blaster cannons.  Unlike the Nymar, the Jould had a pair of weapon-arms that provided additional beam weaponry to the armaments of the machine.  The PAC weapons had a high degree of accuracy.
         The early Jould-type combat walkers used missile and rapid-fire laser/PHELAC weaponry in its arm pods.  The Jould type found at Alpha Centauri by the UNSC used one Glek’Rhugan Xergin-Tah Type-GRXT-20035 2-megawatt rapid-fire ion blaster cannon and one Urgoh-Tah Type-UT-20125 50-megawatt disruptor gun in each arm pod.  Xiang believed that the Urgoh-Tah Type-UT-20125 was either added as a later upgrade to the Jould Type-20021 or introduced on this combat walker and then added to the Hai-Richon when it was introduced later.  He speculated this due to the fact that the disruptor weapon system used on this model of Jould was identical to the type used on the Hai-Richon battlesuit which was introduced in the year 2.0147 GS (298,530 BC), while the Jould Type-20021 was introduced in 2.0021 GS (299,790 BC), some 1260 years before the Hai-Richon.
         The engines of the Jould Type-20021 were similar to the Nymar.  The Jould Type-20021 used one Moi-Kai MK-84 walker engine as its main leg propulsion.  This walker engine propelled the mecha along at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, which was considered slow compared to the Nymar, but adequate for the mission parameters of the Jould, according to Xiang’s research.
         The flight propulsion system of the Jould Type-20021 consisted of a pair of Gruel Khan GK-7.5 7.5-megawatt fusion thrusters.  These engines were capable of pushing the combat walker at speeds of 190,000 mph per engine or 380,000 mph total in space.  Unfortunately, the Jould was not aerodynamic enough for high-speed atmospheric flight due to friction, and was limited to speeds of only 6,000 mph maximum.  The lack of aerodynamic streamlining required that the Jould Type-20021 be transported to and from a planet with an atmosphere via a dropship transport or other craft capable of achieving orbit.
         Like its little cousin the Nymar, the Jould Type-20021 was a fully capable spacecraft and had a series of vernier thrusters all over the craft, which were used in conjunction with the gravitational control unit of the mecha to provide a high degree of control in the vacuum of space outside a planet’s gravity.
         As with the Nymar, the Jould Type-20021 did not use a Neural Link System, and therefore had to rely on its own mechanical capabilities and the skill of the pilot to use the machine.
         The Jould was built in moderately large numbers, according to Doctor Xiang’s findings. The ratio of Jould types to Nymar types was about three Nymars for every one Jould.  Thus, a typical dropship complement of walkers would be comprised of five Jould types and fifteen Nymar types.
         Untold numbers of these machines were built during the Prodono Republic, and even into what Xiang called the Prodono Federation.  How long the Jould Type-20021 was built is also unknown; what is known is that it was still in production as of 2.0306 GS (296,940 BC Earth Relative).
