Description/Overview:
                  The basic design of the Township class was the Atlas class 50,000,000 ton space-frame.  From this basic design the Jovian Defenses Forces made their emergency colonization ships.  With the possibility of both Terran nations (like the EFR, or Ceres Regency) or even possible alien invasion of the Sol star system, the JDF looked for the quickest way to design, and build, Extra-Solar colonizer starships.  The Atlas was the natural choice since it was large enough to hold 1.5 million passengers, and have full agricultural capabilities to start a colony.  The trickiest part was deciding on a faster-than-light drive scheme for the colonization ship.  A massive--Macrotechnologies' designed--Intersection Drive ring was built using plans from captured LaGrange plans.  With this massive ring the Township class was capable of transporting her crew and colonists to their destination at a reasonable time dilation.  The Neo-Hebrews' interstellar galactic colonization efforts of the late 2170s and early 2180s were all spearheaded by the Township class of ships.  Most of that effort involved transporting the Methuseian population (Homo-Ouranos) to the Orion star cluster from the Sol system to get them as far away from the racism of the normal human population (Homo-Sapiens) as possible.  The hatred of the Methuseians that were created as part of the Stygian Project began during the late 2170s after the 1st Interplanetary War ended and they were accelerated after the events of the Ceres Conflict of 2181-2184. 
                   The Neo-Hebrews built one of these ships per three weeks at their Titan shipyards starting in 2178 AD.  It houses 1.5 million passengers within its 10,348.14 feet feet diameter (3154.11 meters/3.1 kilometers) hull/colony section.  The ship is not armed and is normally escorted by a fleet of 100-300 ships ranging from warships to cargo transports to factory ships. 
Township-class fleets were constructed from 2178 up until the outbreak of the Ceres Conflict of 2181.
