If you haven't seen this show, and you're an anime fan, then I think its high time you checked it out.

It was/is this show that brought the first wave of anime to North American shores back in the 1980s.
More than Voltron, Battle of the Planets, Starblazers, or Speedracer, Robotech was the show that sucked in American kids into the world of what used to be called Japanimation.

Robotech still has an enduring fanbase which has only grown over the years.
Multiple novels, manga/comics, video games, and even a sequel have come out in recent years.
It's a staple of the old school anime guard and it would do the youngsters some good to see what came before Cowboy Bebop, GITS, GEASS, Gundam Seed, and the whole crop of anime that we have today.
