Edgar Rice Burroughs "A Princess of Mars"

What can I say?
Mr. Burroughs was one of the greatest Sci-Fi writers of all time and his Martian Tales were among his best works.

I find his protagonist/hero John Carter to be one of the greatest characters I think I've ever read about.

John Carter's larger-than-life persona and abilities make him an instant favorite with me.
He's the kind of character I enjoy reading about.

The means by which Carter gets to Mars is equally interesting, albeit somewhat odd.

His adventures in the first book are an instant hook into the Mars that Mr. Burroughs envisions for his readers and a whole myriad of colorful characters add to the already vibrant reading experience.

I highly recommend The Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs to anyone who likes classical Sci-Fi.
