Space Battleship Yamato/Starblazers

For those of us who grew up in the 1970s and early 1980s there was one Japanese anime show that eclipsed everything else and it was Space Battleship Yamato.

Known as Starblazers here in North America, SBY was among the influencial and dynamic Science Fiction animes ever produced.

The original movie spawned three TV series, four movies, and numerous "spin-off" OVAs.

There is even talk of a new "live-action" version of the original SBY being released sometime this year.

For those of you scratching your heads right now, here is the best place I know of to check out Space Battleship Yamato (a.k.a. Starblazers).

It is probably one of the best, if not the best, anime ever produced.

Wow, the comparison of the two series shows just how good the new show looks compared to the old 1970s series.
I'm not really much of an anime fan, but I might check this one out.

OH MAN! I remember this show!
It was cool (when I was 7 years old).
So they remade it huh?
This is another one I would certainly like to see again (with better animation).

Two of your videos are gone due to copyright (the new trailers of course).
The other five vids work and I remember this show from when I was a kid.
