Description/Overview:
The Euro-Israeli Industries Type-35 was the main battle tank of the European Union and its Arab-Israeli allies during the fourth world war. This MBT was constructed in huge numbers during the course of the war and afterwards. It was the primary tank of nearly every country of the world during the 2030s and early 2040s. It was sold off in large quantities to various third world countries after the fourth world war was over and remained in service for nearly seventy-five years. It fought as a second-line tank in support of the multiped tanks and hovertanks of the 2040s and as a third-line unit during the Great War. The Type-35 found its way into space as a planetoid defense unit among the UNSC’s many planetoid bases within the Solar System during the 2050s, 60s, and 70s.
Although not originally intended for space combat, the Type-35 was fully sealed and equipped with a life-support system due to the threat of nuclear attack. This added feature allowed the Type-35 to be used in any environment, even low-gravity planetoids like Ceres and Pallas. These tanks were crucial for the UNSC during the 1st Interplanetary War. They provided the main defense against the encroaching EFR forces. Even though the Type-35 was no match for the formidable MBR-01 series of battlerobots, the Type-35 was so numerous compared to the EFR mecha that the UNSC was able to overwhelm the Earth forces and hold them back while newer, more powerful machines were developed. The last combat action the Type-35s ever saw as part of an organized military was in 2076 during the EFR assault on Mars when the Solar Empire used legions of these main battle tanks to try and stop the Earth Federal Space Marine invasion. After that, these tanks showed up in the arsenals of various planetoid and planetary guards, militias, and crime syndicates.
