PART B: CHARACTER L.S.P. (Light Structure Points)

What is LSP? LSP is essentially the superstructure of an object, living or non-living, measured in Joules. All things within the NEXUS ARACANA© multiverse are made up of structure point values. Besides LSP, there is also MSP (MEDIUM STRUCTURE POINTS), JSP (MAGIC STRUCTURE POINTS), and HSP (HEAVY STRUCTURE POINTS), all of which will be explained by your Game Lord (combat rules are in Core Book 2).
Basically speaking, your character’s LSP is his body’s structure as previously explained under the ENDURANCE ability description, it is determined by your END score and your character class template that is chosen from the Sourcebook for the appropriate game setting/world your character is in. Once you choose a character template for your character look at the category listed in the class description. This category will be one of 4 types. These types are (PMP) PSIONIC, MAGIC USER, PRIEST; (MMW) MEN AT ARMS, MILITARY, WARRIOR; (TS) TECHNICAL, SCIENCE; and (DR) DOMESTIC, ROGUE. When you find out the character’s class category roll one of the following die or dice as per the category; (PMP) 2D6, (MMW) 2D10, (TS) 1D10, and (DR) 2D8, per level of the character (starting at level one).
If your GL is using the optional hit location rules then you must determine the LSP each of your character’s body locations. Ask your GL about the hit location rules, it is in chapter 3, part 18 under the hit location rules title of the combat section.
The penetration resistance of the character (PR) is used to determine whether or not a character goes into shock due to trauma. If a weapon penetrates the character, he must roll a save vs. system shock or go into shock, and die within 30 minutes if not treated immediately. The PR of the character is equal to 1 PR per 100 points of LSP of the character. For hit locations, each location has it’s own PR. If the head or torso are penetrated and the player fails to save vs. system shock he will die instantly from a mortal wound. If a limb is hit the character must save vs. system shock or go into shock. Characters who go into shock must be given medical or healing immediately or will die within 30 minutes. The system shock rules apply only when the character’s body has been penetrated in a critical location or his looses 1/2 or more of his LSP in a single attack.
